10 Basic Photography Tips for Amateur Photographers

Photography is in vogue and has become a new way to send message and love far and wide. We thrive in visual world and camera, DSLR are no longer in the hands of expertise. The definition of photography have changed. Advancement of tech has not only given access to mobile cameras but also varied apps and software to edit, crop and adjusting the scene mode as per one’s choice till the sharing of them to thousand audience. Now that you are striving to be one of the amateur photographer, some basic photography tips for the beginners will go handy. 1.  Keep in mind about light – Sunrise and sunset is the favourite period for professional to capture the best shot. Set up an alarm before sunrise and sunset to get your best shot thereby making the most of the natural light. 2.  Avoid zooming unless required – I always withdraw from hitting the zoom button but prefer going closer to the object. Make it a point to opt for zooming only when it is difficult to approach the object to be clicked thereby avoiding the break out of image and noise reduction. 3.  Crop what you need – Cropping is generally done to remove the unwanted thing/person or to enlarge the desired object. In case you are caught up regarding what to capture the best is taking in as much subject into the lens as you can. You can always crop the image later. 4.  When to use flash – Flash is used to highlight an object especially when in dark. I suggest to prevent using flash when object isn’t moving, human face is too close or while shooting through a looking glass. 5.  Use a tripod for better night photography – In dimly lit ambience photos tend to come shaky and out-of-focus. The best shot happens when you have a tripod. 6.  Try shooting from different angles – The angles from where you place your subject plays a key role. You need to invent positions to give a flair to your photography. Try lying down on the ground, flat on your tummy and take a shot in case your object of amuse is lying down your feet. 5.  Try for various photo editing apps – It’s time to brush up your creativity by experimenting with your pictures using different editing apps which offers smart scenic modes. The famous apps are the Adobe Lightroom, Aperture, pixlr, picassa etc.. 7.  Tell story with your pictures – One picture is worth a story telling.
